Hello

Welcome to my page. I believe therapy is a space where healing and growth can happen through connection, reflection, and compassion. My goal is to create a safe and inclusive environment where you feel seen, supported, and encouraged to explore both your struggles and your strengths. Whether you are navigating grief, anxiety, depression, or family challenges, I am here to walk alongside you with warmth, cultural humility, and practical tools for lasting change.

About Cynthia

Cynthia Andrade is a bilingual, first-generation Latina Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who brings warmth, cultural sensitivity, and a deep sense of compassion to her work. She specializes in supporting clients through grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and complex family dynamics. Cynthia is also experienced in risk assessments, emotional regulation, and guiding clients through difficult relationship patterns.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and expressive arts techniques. She has extensive experience in community mental health and has worked with children, teens, adults, families, and therapeutic groups. Cynthia has also supported survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, providing a safe and empowering space for recovery and resilience.

As the eldest daughter of hard-working immigrant parents, Cynthia brings a unique understanding of intergenerational challenges, cultural identity, and resilience into her therapy practice. She earned her B.S. in Criminology from California State University, Fresno, and her Master’s in Marriage, Couples, and Child Counseling from Sacramento State University.

Cynthia is passionate about helping clients discover their inner strength and build lives filled with meaning and connection. She often reminds her clients, “When I heal, I heal generations before and after me” — “Cuando sano, sano a las generaciones que vinieron antes y a las que vendrán después.”
