Welcome to Melissa’s page! Melissa is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who brings both compassion and practical expertise to her work with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families. With a background as a high school teacher and school counselor, she has a deep understanding of the challenges people face in their personal, relational, and academic lives. Melissa is passionate about walking alongside her clients as they navigate difficulties, discover their strengths, and create meaningful change. She is dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can take root.

My Story

Melissa is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about helping clients navigate challenges and uncover the strategies they need to grow, heal, and thrive. Her clinical journey is inspired by her prior work as a high school teacher and school counselor. As an educator, she worked primarily in continuation schools, where she supported students’ social-emotional learning and helped them navigate personal, familial, and systemic obstacles to their success. In her practice, Melissa blends her experience as an educator with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support clients’ growth, healing, and whole-person development. She works with individuals, adolescents, couples and families. In her sessions, she draws from a range of approaches including, cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment-based strategies, solution-focused techniques, and mindfulness. At its core, her work is always grounded in a humanistic and trauma-informed perspective. Melissa believes above all in the individual’s capacity to heal and grow. She works collaboratively with clients to help them build resilience, gain insight, and create meaningful change. She hopes to help clients better understand their strengths and how they can utilize these strengths as resources in their lives. She is committed to providing a supportive, safe, and client-centered environment in which every person feels heard, valued, and empowered on their journey toward healing.
