Hello
Hello, my name is Briana Lopez, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about supporting children, individuals, and families in their journey toward healing and growth. I believe therapy is most effective when it is a collaborative process, where therapist and client work together to create meaningful change. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered Therapy, allowing me to provide both practical tools and a compassionate, supportive space. As a bilingual therapist, I am committed to making therapy accessible and culturally responsive for diverse communities. I strive to help clients feel understood, empowered, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges.
My Story
My path to becoming a therapist has always been rooted in service to my community. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, where I volunteered supporting first-generation college students as they navigated higher education and worked toward their goals. After graduating, I became an agency social worker serving foster youth and providing support to foster families and biological families. Through this work, I saw firsthand the importance of compassionate mental health care and developed a deep passion for helping individuals and families in my own community.
Motivated to deepen that work, I pursued my master’s degree at La Sierra University, completing my clinical training at a foster care agency and at University of Redlands. I have had the privilege of working with diverse communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals, low-income families, and those navigating identity, self-worth, and life transitions. As a bilingual therapist, I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to create a supportive space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
